Role Overview
The firm is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join its investment team in an onsite, office‑based role. This individual will play a leadership role across the full deal lifecycle, with primary responsibility for driving transaction execution, managing diligence processes, supporting transaction structuring, and mentoring junior team members.
The Vice President will work closely with senior leadership and serve as a key point person on live transactions and portfolio company M&A initiatives. The role offers significant responsibility, visibility, and hands‑on exposure within a lean, entrepreneurial private equity platform.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end‑to‑end execution of platform and add‑on acquisitions, from initial diligence through closing
• Own financial modeling, valuation analysis, and transaction structuring for new investments and follow‑on M&A
• Coordinate and manage diligence workstreams with third‑party advisors, including legal, accounting, consulting, reimbursement, and operational diligence providers
• Prepare and present investment committee materials, deal memoranda, and transaction updates to senior stakeholders
• Serve as a primary point of contact for management teams, intermediaries, lenders, and external advisors throughout the transaction process
• Develop and refine investment theses within targeted services subsectors
• Conduct deep industry, regulatory, reimbursement, and competitive analysis to support investment decision‑making
• Evaluate market dynamics, growth drivers, and risks specific to services and multi‑site business models
• Support portfolio company M&A initiatives, including add‑on acquisition sourcing, diligence, and integration planning
• Partner with portfolio company leadership teams on strategic growth and value creation initiatives
• Assist in monitoring portfolio performance and identifying opportunities for operational and strategic improvement
• Mentor and oversee Associates and Senior Associates, providing guidance on modeling, diligence, and professional development
• Contribute to the development of internal processes, tools, and best practices for deal execution and portfolio support
• Participate in broader firm initiatives, culture building, and long‑term platform development
Qualifications
• 7-10+ years of total experience, including:
• 2-3+ years in investment banking, transaction advisory, or consulting with a strong M&A focus
• 2-5+ years in private equity, growth equity, or another principal investing role with meaningful deal execution responsibility
• Prior investing experience in healthcare and/or consumer businesses strongly preferred
• Strong experience executing services transactions; familiarity with reimbursement, regulatory, and multi‑site operating models is highly desirable
• Advanced financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex workstreams in a fast‑paced environment
• Sound commercial judgment and comfort operating with limited or imperfect information
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Natural leader and mentor with a collaborative, low‑ego mindset
• Highly motivated self‑starter with strong organizational skills and intellectual curiosity
